How to open a corporate account

1. What is a Moomoo Canada corporate account?

A Moomoo Canada corporate account is a trading account opened for a corporate entity. It allows companies to trade securities and manage their investment portfolios under the company name.

 

2. How to open a Moomoo Canada corporate account

Step 1: Register a Moomoo ID

Click here to register a new Moomoo ID for your corporate account and complete the required information.

Once registered, please send an email to docs@ca.moomoo.com with your Moomoo ID. In your email, please indicate that you would like to open a corporate account and attach the account opening documents and supporting documents required in Step 2 and Step 3 so we can proceed with your corporate account application.

 

Step 2: Complete Account Opening Documents

Please complete and sign the attached corporate account opening documents:

Step 3: Provide Supporting Documentation

Personal identification documents - authorized person

  • Proof of identity: valid Canadian government-issued photo ID

  • Proof of address: recent utility bill or property tax bill

Corporate documents

  • Master Business License, Partnership Agreement, or Articles of Incorporation (depending on business type)

  • Most recent Annual Return filed with the corporate registry. If the company is publicly listed, a SEDAR profile is acceptable

  • Business Identification Number

  • Identification for all beneficial owners with 25% or greater ownership

  • RC518 form - included in the Supplemental Profile form (required only if the above ownership threshold applies)

  • RC519 form - included in the NCAF form

Guarantee Forms (for margin accounts)

  • If an individual is acting as a guarantor for the corporate account, the relevant guarantee documents are required.

 

Step 4: Account review

After we receive your documents, we will review your application. If all provided information is verified, the review is usually completed within 10 business days. If additional documents are required during the review process, instructions will be sent by email. Once your application is approved, we will notify you by email.

3. FAQ

3.1 Can I apply for a corporate account if I already have a moomoo individual account?

Yes. However, please note that each corporate account must be linked to a unique mobile phone number and email address. If you already have an individual account, please prepare a new mobile phone number and email address for the corporate account.

3.2 Can I log in to multiple accounts on the same device?

Yes. To switch accounts, go to moomoo App > Me > Settings > Switch Account, then select the account you want to switch to.

3.3 Which products are available for trading in a Moomoo Canada corporate account?

At present, a Moomoo Canada corporate account supports trading Canadian stocks, Canadian ETFs, U.S. stocks, U.S. ETFs, and U.S. stock options. If you would like to apply for U.S. stock options trading permission, you must also complete the relevant form and submit it together with your account opening application.

3.4 Is there a fee to open a corporate account?

There is currently no fee to open a corporate account.

3.5 What are the trading fees for a corporate account?

The trading fees for a corporate account are the same as those for an individual account. For details, please refer to Fee schedule.

3.6 What types of entities are eligible to apply for a Moomoo Canada corporate account?

  • Partnership

  • Corporation

  • Sole Proprietorship
